Chad joined the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in 2000 as a Jail Officer and graduated mandate the same year. He then transferred to Field Operations in 2001. Chad worked the Criminal Interdiction Unit from 2006 to 2015 as well as being a K-9 handler from 2009 to 2018. He was promoted to Corporal in 2014, Sergeant in 2015, and Lieutenant in 2018.
